I've mentioned this trick before, but for those people struggling with panic attacks, this video describes a little game you can play with yourself to head off the worst of a panic attack. Honestly, it is a coping mechanism. In general, you want to shy away from coping with panic and anxiety and work towards addressing them in a long-term sustainable way, but sometimes when you're in the thick of it, coping is all you can do. So here's a quick trick that my husband actually came up with that helped me in my dark hours.
